Not enough time

As most of you know, I really wanted to continue moving forward with my 2013 waiting list, but I have come to the sad realization that for the time being, I will not have the time to take on new commission work.

At the end of last year, I was invited to be a part of "Splendor Device", an all female artist collective and we have several shows coming up this year. I am super excited about this project and the new opportunities to create and show my artwork. To be able to prepare for upcoming shows, I have to dedicate all my free time to painting (though some of those paintings may be in doll form, fingers crossed)

Will I stop working on custom dolls altogether? No, never. My dolls are my muses, after all. They inspire my artwork greatly. I will still keep working on personal customs in between paintings to keep me motivated, inspired and also allow me to experiment a bit more.

Also here's the good news for those of you who want one of my dolls: when I do finish a personal custom, I plan on either offering the doll to people on my waiting list (in numerical order, if someone turns it down I will continue down the list) or listing the doll on eBay.

At the moment I am trying to finish my commissions from 2012, I fell behind when I got sick from inhaling MSC fumes and I have plans to start painting in-between these commissions until they'r done. This year is definitely going to be a busy one for me and I really cannot wait to resume work on my waiting list.

I never imagined how well received my dolls would be. I am forever grateful to all my customers and fans. Love you guys!!!

Best Wishes,
Irene Garcia aka Sirenita
