Skye

I finally finished my last custom for 2011. I meant to post photos earlier but X-mas got in the way :)

She is a heather sky with a rerooted scalp by Immunoblythe. Our inspiration for her was a bit of Tara McPherson and my art.

She is probably the hardest custom I have ever worked on because of all the details in her mask. While painting over the airbrushed eyeshadow I had to make sure that I kept everything symmetrical because if I messed up it would ruin the paint underneath and I would have to redo everything. Luckily it all went smoothly.

Yay! Now it's time for a little break from dolls while I focus on some much needed painting. I will be at it again soon, so keep an eye out for my updates :)

Teal and ruby red make such a lovely combination :)

This doll is for Immunoblythe. We were inspired by the colors Tara McPherson uses in her paintings and my swirly masks. I can't wait to start painting the mask, it's going to sparkle ;)

I just painted in the lips.

Tattoo

I just need to seal it and this doll is done :)

Detailing

This part was hard. I had to be super careful because if I mess up around the eyes I can ruin the paint underneath. Luckily this was a success.

Painting lips

Just water, acrylic and a brush. I love doing this part :)
